Upcoming Activities

After months of waiting for all documents to be settled in the right place, Shruti Cultural Group has been lauched again, now recognised at the Registrar of the Republic of Mauritius.

Some of our upcoming activitiePs will be mainly the Preparation of Mahashivratree 2009 to be held in February. We are planning a beforehand event to obtain the raw materials needed to build our "Kanwar". 

Also in our project list, there is the Distribution of foods and drinks in the period of religious festivities.

What is Shruti Cultural Group?

Shruti Cultural Group is a newly formed group, comprising of around 30members, all set with the aim to promote social work among youngsters and also promote culture and traditions.
It was born in April 2008 with the support of many people.

Shruti Cultural Group has many upcoming projects and also intends to organise many activities for people in the locality.

Some of our activities are mainly social work type such as giving food to those who are in need, visiting and helping people who needs support and creating awareness especially among the youngster about the vices of the society.

We also intend to celebrate festivals such as Mahashivratree and many othe festivals at a real level.

Our group comprises of seven executive members namely:

Assistant Treasurer: Binta Digumber

We also have other commitee members and a Youth club for those under 18.
